New start-up offers innovative new way to consume media on the move

The ways in which we consume media have changed dramatically over the last decade; from the rise of the internet and online media that we use today, to the emergence of the Smartphone which has allowed us to stay in touch with global affairs – wherever we are.

One start-up organisation, clipDO, has taken this a step further by developing a brand new service for the Kindle which is due to be launched this month. Using a browser button known as a bookmarklet allows users to ‘clip’ news articles and other pieces of text from the web, to send to their Kindle e-reader. Just as we can with a Smartphone, clipDO enables us to access news on the move, but gives us the added bonus of being able to store it for a later date. Suitable for those of us who are unable to take time out in the day, this innovative service also allows us to catch up with the week’s events on our commutes, at the gym, or from the comfort of home. It’s also is ideal if, like many of us, you prefer to use a wide range of sources, rather than subscribing to one publication.

Sharing on the move

In an age where we are constantly sharing media with others, clipDO also allows you to recommend articles and swap your reading lists with other Kindle users.
