Joomla, unlike Wordpress doesn't come with a comment system pre-installed, so today we're going to talk about comment plugins for Joomla.
We will be sharing our favourite Joomla 1.5 blog comment extensions, and then ask you which comment system you prefer.

For those of you who may not be aware, today is breast cancer awareness day here in the UK.
We've helped the guys at Body Health Debate come up with a great way of marking the day. Today a new RSS plugin has been released to the Joomla community - the Breast Cancer Awareness RSS Syndicator.
This RSS syndicator is a native Joomla 1.5 extension and we consider it to be the best way of creating great looking RSS feeds in Joomla 1.5.

In the last few weeks while you all have sent me emails, text-messages, and have even called wondering what was going on with AnotherGuy.us, I have been testing out new software and finding some solutions to the problems I have been struggling with. One of those solutions was to switch my commenting system from JXComments to Disqus, and what an amazing solution that was.
Disqus brings a lot of new features to my comments area, most of which I know you will love.

| | | There are so many times when I find myself wondering what the different positions are in a template. Normally, I would just add ?tp=1 to the end of whatever URL I am currently looking at, but sometimes I need to do some intensive and I just don't have time to keep adding that to the URL. Other times I may need to give a display of all of the module positions to someone who is in another state or country. In that case, it may also be a waste of time to keep telling them to add ?tp=1 to the end of the URL's.

| | | You've no doubt seen how much I love JoomlaPraise and it's new AdminPraise administrator template for Joomla!. I use it on every Joomla! powered website that I can and recommend it to everyone. Though there are still a few bugs that need to be tweaked, it's doing an amazing job at getting me to never use Khepri again. And guess what... they've released a new version of it today.

| | | That's the new "slogan" if you will for the brand new released AdminPraise administrator template for Joomla! 1.5 developered by JoomlaPraise, and frankly, I think I can agree with that. Though it still needs some tweaking (which I'll explain more in a bit) this is going to revolutionize the way that I use Joomla! with my clients and friends. You can bet that I'll be customizing this for personal use and when putting it on clients websites.
