A few months on from our launch, GoodWebPractices.com has come quite a long way. Last week we had over 2,300 visitors, we already have a page rank of 5 and most importantly we have been generating a steady stream of business leads.

As we all know, it's good to regularly evaluate how well a website is performing and what can be done to improve it...

We have decided it's time to change the layout of our frontpage and we would love to have your input as to what we should do.

What we would like our frontpage to do

• As soon as you come to GoodWebPractices.com we would like to communicate who we are and what we do.
• Show the introductions to our latest articles.
• Show the latest blog comments and the most popular posts.

Whats wrong with our current homepage

• It's way too long.
• Our latest articles are below the fold.
• There is no key information about who we are and what we do.
• It doesn't look very special.

An extension we're considering using

Having tried lots of content sliders, PraiseSlides from JoomlaPraise seems to one of the best ways to display a number of our latest articles in a small space. We are considering using it when we redesign the frontpage.

m0nb0f July 01, 2008 Votes: +1	I would like to introduce the system next to my Joomla site: - The possibility for users to post articles (or system Blog) to which others can leave comments - Be able to classify his article (or post) in 1 category from the existing 3 - The latest articles (or post) appear automatically on Frontpage (only 3 or 4 last displayed automatically without any intervention) I can not find the desired components.
