Mobile Action s i-gotU GT-600 GPS Travel Logger is a neat gadget and an improvement on the GT-120. At about £65, it is a good option for travelers and athletes, delivering on almost all its promises. GT-600 is very easy to use, performing its geotagging and route-tracking functions with minimum hassle and good accuracy.
Design
 The GT-600 weighs 37g with dimensions measuring 46x41.5x14mm. It will fit comfortably on your bagpack band or in your pocket. It comes with a strap that you can attach to your ankle or wrist. One important feature is that its holder is water-resistant, so you neednt worry if you are stuck in a downpour. It is also quite durable and you can confidently use it in harsh conditions.
Software
The i-gotU GT-600 suite comes with three software - @trip PC, Sports Analyzer and Where I Am. The Sports Analyzer measures your pace, distance, time, lowest and highest altitudes. It even tracks the number of calories you have shed after your walk/run - a great feature for fitness conscious people. It also consists of a calendar to refer to past workout sessions.
The @trip software marks your travel points via interaction with Google Maps. It helps you create your very own travel blog and publish your geotagged photographs. But it falls short of the latest image editing features that that you will find on any good photo software. Another shortcoming is that @trip cannot provide the location name and users will have to export GPS route information in GPX file format and then import it to a different geotag application. That said, the great thing about the @trip software is that you can easily upload trips on a-trip.com and share the trips with friends.
The Where I Am software tells you where you are at any given point of time. It indicates your location by using your co-ordinates on popular maps software like Google Maps and Yahoo Maps.
The device works with Windows 7, XP, 2000 and Vista. It is compatible with almost all camera phones and digital cameras.
GPS accuracy and fix
The GT-600 has a GPS fix of less than 35 seconds, an improvement over the GT-120. The accuracy is also quite impressive and only in rare cases, where there are high-rise buildings nearby, do the data points shift a bit.
User interface
 It is really easy to use the i-gotU GT-600. It has two LEDs and one button for tracking, geotagging and viewing through a simple operation. All you need to do is hold its button until the blue LED starts blinking. The red LED indicates that you have a signal.
Battery life
The GT-600 features a new motion detector that puts the device in sleep mode when there is no movement, thereby preserving battery life. The result is an excellent 80 hours of battery life, which makes the device an attractive option over other GPS alternatives. The device will also power up automatically when movement is detected, making life easier for you.
