Like most of the LCD Televisions from Philips, the 32PFL7404 has a slim form factor with a black gloss body that gives it a nice post-modern look to your TV space. The Philips 32PFL7404 is HD ready with the new standard of 1080p HD and a refresh rate of 100 Hz. There are television models available with a faster refresh rate of 200 Hz, but with steeper price tags. At 100 Hz refresh rate Philips 32PFL7404 gives you sharp and flicker free pictures on your screen along with a palette of 4 trillion colors. The device is loaded with Philips' Pixel Precise HD technology, which is an improvisation over its predecessor Pixel Plus. A superlative 80,000:1 contrast ratio brings extreme clarity to your favorite movie or visuals that you will see on the screen. With a fast response time of barely 3 ms, this television falls in the league of some of the popular high end televisions. The simple onscreen menu comprises the "Home" screen that has shortcuts to digital TV as well as USB reader and settings.
