What is SAScon?SAScon stands for Search, Analytics and Social Media Conference. It’s Manchester first major not-for-profit search marketing conference and it has the potential to be one of UKs top search conferences in 2010. SAScon has been organised by a number of individuals from Manchester’s digital agencies including my colleague at Mediaedge:cia Ben McKay. Who is speaking at SAScon in ManchesterThere is a list of confirmed speakers on the SAScon website. I’ve heard rumours that some of the UK’s top SEO bloggers will be on panels - this will hopefully be confirmed shortly. There are already a couple of speakers I’m looking forward to seeing: notably Joost de Valk (aka Yoast) and Ralph Tegtmeier (aka Fantomaster). I’m confident that both Yoast and Fantomaster will have some interesting insights to share regarding search engine optimisation. Who is the conference for?The conference is aimed at people working in digital marketing both client-side and agency-side. I’ll be attending because it’s a great opportunity to network with people working in the same industry in the North-West of England. I’ve enjoyed meeting with SEO’s in Manchester since the first Manchester SEO meetup in June. SAScon should appeal to people looking for a more formal event. Buying a ticket for SASconIf you like the sounds of SAScon you can buy an early bird ticket before the 1st of March for £225. The price of tickets after that will be £250. 1 Comments
